Bronze Crown of Thorns
Fabricated bronze crown of thorns with patina. This was to replace a long lost real crown of thorns on a 17th century corpus.
Crown of Thorns on model
The corpus, a 17th century Spanish piece carved from wood, had originally had real hair and a crown of thorns. The monks decided they wanted a bronze crown made to replace the long lost one. Because the corpus was delicate and located several states away, the head was 3D scanned and shipped to me, so it could be made to fit exactly.
